For this shoot we drew inspiration from street style blogs and injected it with the element of travel.
Travel. Street. Style.
Three words synonymous with the name Sartorialist. You almost see the image of a page loading with pictures. Scott Schuman has undoubtedly pioneered the movement for all street blogs, making bloggers the next movers and shakers of fashion journalism.

For the moodboard:
a muted palette with pops of regal red and blue
weathered suitcases
urban streets
quaint storefronts
battered concrete facade
an easy going rapport and feel

Kat and Richard were a great couple to shoot! They had a natural banter about them which made us actually want to catch more of the stolen moments. On the flipside, they took well to art direction too -you could kind of say it was win-win.
Cubao Expo was an awesome backdrop, all except for the fact that they don't actually allow outdoor shooting because it disrupts traffic around the compound! But by God's grace and the kindness of Manong Guard, we got all the frames we needed in a matter of a few (hundred) clicks. Then we moved it indoors.
A big thank you to the I Love You Store for the use their charming furniture, Mogwai for providing the subdued pub set, and most especially KARMA for being our hub during the shoot. We really loved the quirky-vintage-glam appeal of Karma's store interiors and its array of eye-catching merchandise! It's stocked with accessories, shoes, bags, apparel, novelty items (i.e. cute madonna and camera notebooks), frames, and chandeliers. Quite a fix for art and style cravings!
Janna and I also loved our photographer's leather loafers. He fit right in with our pegs :)
finally, a thousand yays to our Almighty God!
for the inspiration and creativity,
for holding back the rain and setting back sun down (we only used natural light!),
for the team,
and for everyone who had a hand in making this project possible.
Promod (Kat's outfits)
Red Hen (Richard's pants and tops)
Julius Sebastian (photography)
Cubao X (admin and Manong Guard)
Mai Kaufman of KARMA
cheers to the happy couple!
